Coming Attractions: June 4th-7th 2009 (Updated)

Things here at CM Towers are now almost back to normal after the eventful weekend, so it’s time to cast a beady eye over what’s on the horizon.

June 4th sees Scottish indie pop/rockers The Xcerts bring their polished act to The Box, with support from local punk four-piece Fake Heroes; the planned Alcatrazz gig at The Limelight has been cancelled, and so far no word on whether a replacement has been booked.

On June 5th U2 fans should hit The Limelight for tribute band Achtung Baby, Middlewich punkers Meadow View take on The Box, and veteran bluesmen The Groundhogs and old-school hard rock legends Stray are at the M-Club.

My favourite act from Crewe Live, Katatoy, will be at The Box on the 6th along with Future of the Left, Helsinki Seven and Lost Response for what promises to be an excellent night of eclectic rock sounds. Miss it at your peril!

The Limelight also has a double header on the 6th, featuring Oasish and the Stereotonics — no prizes for guessing what they do, and if you like the real deal then this is the next best thing.

If that wasn’t enough, on Sunday 7th the Limelight offers the indie stylings of the 2008 Kerrang Unsigned Band award winners The Sibling Rivalry with a batch of new material.

Whichever way your tastes lie there’s bound to be something to catch your attention, so you’ve got no excuse for sitting around at home. Get out there!
