10-12pm,, you’ll hear Simon J Newbury (local music & more photographer), with Junker and The Longshanks.

Acoustic Lounge Preview on RedShift Radio

On Monday 28th Feb, 7-9pm, Crewe-based internet radio station RedShift will be previewing the forthcoming Acoustic Lounge event at The Box, Crewe.

Crewe’s Acoustic Talent Lounge

Acoustic Lounge: Sunday 6 March, 1pm-10:30pm

A wallet-friendly £5, for 15 different artistes and bands.

We all know Crewe has a lively music scene and here’s the debut of an event to showcase its top acoustic talent.

Acoustic Lounge will take place on an intimate stage downstairs at The Box, Pedley Street, Crewe, providing a chilled atmosphere for the day.

Organiser Nick Bayes, of Angry Badgers, said “We are really looking forward to what we are sure will be a fantastic day of acoustic music.  The inspiration for this Acoustic Lounge event came from the acoustic stage at last year’s extremely successful Boxjam charity event and we have invited an excellent selection of musicians to perform, some local and some from further afield.”

The event is held in association with Simon J Newbury Photography and RedShift Radio. Tickets available on the door only.


Word up, it’s Foul Play!

Crewe-based covers-band-with-a-difference FOULPLAY! are at The Hop Pole on Friday 18th February.

Foulplay! are four of the area’s most accomplished musicians, and together they play an outstanding show of alt, indie & post-punk late 70’s-early 80’s cover versions.

The gig at the Wistaston Road pub starts around 9pm and admission is free.  More details can be found at
